Default 2002 Volvo v70 stuck in park

My car is stuck in park. I know it's probably an issue with the solenoid. Normally if I let the car warm up anywhere from five minutes to an hour and a half it will shift eventually. However that is not happening today. Transmission fluid levels are fine. I cannot figure out how to get the console panels off and how to get in there to fix this issue and I don't know what tools I would even need to get this done. Can anyone help me?

Did you check for videos on Youtube for replacing the PNP switch? That may give you some ideas on how to get the trim off too.

Behind the gear shift and under the radio console is a rubber pad. Remove the rubber pad, (just lifts out) and use your key to push down in the hole, that will release the gear shift from the park position.
