Just bought a 2011 XC70, which comes with a space saver spare. I'd prefer a full size spare. I've asked this question on the XC70 forum but had no response but imagine the issue is the same with the V70: if I dispense with the parcel tray will a full size spare fit in the well under the luggage area floor? Thanks.

 

The other downside is that a full-size spare will more easily become a permanent solution. UsiSng a donut pretty much forces someone to get the tire replaced.
