Just bought a 2011 XC70, my 9th Volvo Estate (240, 240, 760, 940, 850, 850, V70 Mk2, V70 Mk 1 AWD) but my first XC. A couple of questions for starters:

1. Am I right in thinking that there's a problem with the factory supplied emergency spare, in that it doesn't clear the front brake calipers, so for a flat on the front you have to swap a rear alloy to the front & use the space saver on the rear?
2. Will a full size spare fit in the wheel well under the boot floor if i dispense with the parcel tray?

No doubt there will be more ???s before long!

There is not problem to use the spare wheel in the front
