I have sent my Instrument Cluster off for repair. I can drive the car, but the indicators don't work and I can't lock the tailgate. Anyone know of fixes for these?
Just reinstall the DIM when you get it back. Are you seriously mounting the time/effort/money mix for the brief turn-around time the repairer will need?

Thanks for your reply. I don't have a problem with the tailgate, other than the fact that I can't lock it whilst the Instrument Cluster is away for repair. It is a very common fault with these clusters, the digital displays corrupt and the airbag warning light comes up, as do the engine management and warning symbols (orange). These are MoT failures. The fix is to re-flux the solder joints on the circuit board, something I am not confident in doing in case I make the problem worse.
I need to drive the car short a short distance about once a week without the instrument cluster. I have no indicators and I can manually lock all the doors except the tailgate (there is no exterior lock for the key on my model) and my question is how to lock the tailgate and if there is a by-pass to allow me to use the indicators. In an ideal world, there would be a dummy multi-connector which I could plug into the instrument cluster harness, which bridges the relevant pins to allow the indicators and locks to work.
