Hi, i have a 2006 v70 2.4, and as the title says, the passenger side directionals and hazards don't turn on, they may work for a few seconds after i start the car but no longer.
I took it to a volvo shop and they couldn't figure it out, on some other forums people said it could be the "relay" but nobody would say where the damn turn signal relay ACTUALLY is as if it was some sort of trade secret, they hinted under the dash on the pass. side but i couldn't find anything resembling such thing. Can anybody help me at all? Both hazard and the stalk are non functional on the passenger side so i don't think the stalk is the problem, i already tried changing fuses, what could it be? Thanks!
Created this profile literally just for this, i feel like i can't drive properly without my turn signal!
The "relay" for the turn signals is in the CEM and unfortunately sometimes a problem with the CEM can be the cause of your failure. Common failures courtesy of xemodex https://xemodex.com/us/product/centr...ogramtransfer/
Common Failure Symptoms
▼Common Failures:
• Water damage
• Complete loss of communication where the CEM will not communication with the rest of the network and the diagnostic tool.
• No LIN communication with alternator (ACM)
• Starter motor not working even though start is approved by the immobilizer sequence.
• Turn signals not working are all or one side turned on continuously.
• Low beams, high beams or fog lights failures.
• Horn not working at all.
• Wipers not working at all or stuck in high speed.
• Fuel pump not engaging.
Here's a wiring diagram for the ts/hazards. 10/14, 16, 17 are the three right turn signal bulbs. Front, fender and rear. 3/6 is the hazard switch - note no turn signal switch in the diagram - the signal comes over the can bus from the steering wheel module. If you are thinking - Hey how about those 2 fuses e/4 and 5? Maybe that"s left and right ? No those are 50 amp fuses in the fusebox in the trunk next to the battery and feed all sort of other systems. I'd vote for a water damaged CEM - any CEM codes? I trust someone has scanned all the control units.
#1: Trunk doesn't lock
#2: when the passenger side window button gets pulled all the way up, when the window reaches the top it goes back down, driver's window goes down sometimes in the middle of going up, like a ghost pushed the button down.

Passenger window (or both) may need their soft stop set.
Drivers window going down from up at the wrong time is probably too much resistance when going up. Tree sap on the outside of the glass will do that or try lubricating the felt window guides with a silicone spray.
With VIDA and probably any quality scan tool you can talk to the REM and tell it to lock and unlock the rear half of the car, doors, tailgate, gas door, power child lock (if equipped) - has anyone tried that?
I trust your Volvo shop has a scan tool capable of talking to all the modules in the car. What codes are stored? Have they tried to set the auto down windows for you? Just takes a minute once connected.
This is the screen in VIDA where you can fix the windows. A quality scan tool should be able to talk to all the modules installed in your car - there can be many!
Here's what that screen looks like live - with no codes in any module (they are green) The gray modules do not exist on that car pictured. (that's from a 2015)
