Default Leaking Haldex housing

Edit: sorry, using wrong terminology. It' appears the 'differential' is leaking....

Ok, how bad is it? I wiped down the area and it started dripping immediately (warm car). Drip appears to be coming from the bottom area (6 o-clock position) just above the bevel. Or, upper portion of the main seal where I can't see? Bolt just opposite is also wet.

Consensus?

Thanks,

Ultra...

Ok, I wiped the area down, and looked around as good as access allows, and it does appear the leak is coming from that 'disk' area, and likely not s seal. Hmmm, and that would indicate a crack in the differential?

Also, I took a pic of the rear drive shaft connection, which obviously needs replaced. And all this would likely be apart to replace the differential, if in fact the latter is required...

Where do I sources some parts for my mechanic?

Thanks,

Ultra...

Ok, so after look at some pics of this unit out of the car, I'm thinking it could be the upper part of the seal where the haldex connects to the differential....going to my tech Thur to put on a lift and hopefully diagnose...

Housing leaking from the freeze plug. Going to attempt a JB-Weld fix. And of course replace that wobble joint.

Old thread....but I have the same problem. Was going to try replacing the o-ring between the Haldex and the rear diff. What is this freeze plug?
