XC70 New Ownership
Hi All!
Just bought a 2015 XC70 D5 automatic with 58k km“s on the clock. Was between this and a diesel Subaru Forester with 32k, but the volvo drive was what got me. Never driven a nicer car! Although I did go against the grain with the general advice that Volvo“s were expensive and a source of mechanical trouble. This car has been regularly maintained at dealerships every 10k and has the stamps to prove it.
I am coming off a Nissan Xtrail that although bought cheap, was ridiculously expensive to maintain and also I had early trans failure at 140k.
Im looking to hear from you longevity wise on how these units keep up over time, what I can/should expect from this transmission to last, and what other wear items should I look out for when coming close to 100k? Ive heard different opinions on trans fluid change, local dealerships just top up continually over time stating that a fluid replacement might cause damage, but ive also hear that factory indicates a complete fluid and filter swap at 80k. Still not sure whether to keep the vehicle over 100k with this lingering doubt.
Also, I would like to perform a small1.5" lift in the coming future. Any recommendations on quality setups for this year?
Please educate me!!
