My 2007 S80 3.2 AWD radio/entmt system has packed it in. The AM quit about 8 yrs ago and at the time I was still using Volvo dealer. They estimated $900 to fix at the time - I passed. This time everything is gone. I tried three local Auto Audio expert places. The 1st guy said he wouldn't touch my Volvo - had serious trouble with an XC90 system. The 2nd guy failed, but recommended a 3rd place with a Techie expert. I just went there yesterday and the guy worked on my system for 3 1/2 hours. He got the amplifier out from under the passenger seat; it was full of salt and a bit corroded. He also got the box behind the console containing the CD/radio combo. He cleaned up the amplifier and tried to activate the main box - no luck, nothing worked. Tried for several minutes to find Volvo or aftermarket parts online - no luck. They will keep looking and let me know. The only good news - they only billed me $50 for the diagnostic work. I may have to just put a portable radio in there for the duration (mine or the car's ) - have been using my mobile phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not working at all - maybe the amp under the seat filled with salt! - Has you car been in a flood?
