Default Upper engine mount review

I purchased the poly-filled upper engine mount a while back. Like other owners, I found it transmitted a lot of vibration to the cabin and switched back to the stock mount. Since adding the Stage I tune, my upper mount was literally turning to dust and shavings on top of my valve cover and had to be replaced! I thought I would give the poly filled engine mount another try, but took it apart and drilled relieve holes in the ends of each 'slot' to soften the poly plugs. After reassembly and installation, the result were magical! There is no shaking or excess vibration in the cabin and power transfer is instantaneous.

Poly mount is much more driver friendly after expanding the slot ends with a 5/16" drill.

I had the same problem with my new bushing too. The car shaked like crazy but then I went back and loosen the bolt up holding it on and got rid of most of it.

Who did you get yours through?

it's a POLY mount... i have known many people with poly mounts and not just in volvo's and yeah they shake bad, but i like the idea of drilling holes for some relief (at least for the volvo upper mount) i wonder if that will still work in the old style upper mount like on the 850's
