$1000.00 trans fluid change
I purchased a 2003 C70 with 80,000 and the trans fluid looked like marple syrup. I read the forums about trans fluid ( Toyota T-5. Mobel 9903 and the high cost of Volvo fluid.
I got 5 liters of Toyota T-5 and flushed the system. Within the first 50 miles the trans started to slip when cold and crashed into 1st when hot.
I ask the forum about this and I only got one answer .... change it right now. I ordered 8 liters of Volvo fluid from www.autowharehouse.com ( about $69.00 a gallon with free shipping) and drained the pan and hoses.
I installed the drain plug and DROPPED THE XXXX WRENCH ON MY FRONT PORCELAIN CROWN ......XXXXXXXX !!!!!!!!
Today I paided $880. for a new crown, the $140.00 for the Volvo fluid and $65.00 for the Toyota T-5 .............
LESSON LEARNED.......use the Volvo fluid and keep my mouth shut when under the car !
