3rd party warranty

3rd party warranty
So I'm getting ready to go out and purchase a 2006 S60 2.5T w/ 30,000 miles
It has a month left on it's original warranty.
I have priced out a platinum 48 month warranty from Carchex and it would be approx. $2200.
Is an extended warranty recommended? If so, does anyone have a plan they would recommend that best covers the most expensive typical repair costs for the S60?
Thanks in Advance

Google the warranty company name and see if there are post on the internet with people complaining about warranty claims not being made. I usually do not purchase extended warranties, most cars will do well with normal maintenance being completed. Usually if you do not keep the maintenance to the letter it voids your warranty.
Do you keep your car serviced? Do you drive a lot (over 30,000 miles per year)?

3rd party internet companies go under all the time. Many have nice pretty websites with recommendations and BBB ratings, but truth be told, most won't be in business for as long as they promise to cover your car.
The only coverage you should trust is the Volvo (VIP) coverage.

Now, here's something the dealers don't want you to know. You can get the Volvo coverage direct through
www.easycare.com
Take a close look. The coverage is the same - it's through APCO (Automobile Protection Corporation).
