Hood latch releases the hood from inside, but the safety latch in the front grill, does not function. What I mean by that is, when you pull on it and you expect the hood to release, but nothing happens. The safety latch does not appear to be defective. How can I open the hood. Battery is now flat and I need to open the hood to replace the battery.

 

Can you see where the latch is broke?
I use a long hook tool to pull the safety latch to open the hood. If the grill handle part is broke for now till you can get parts use a wire tie through the grill to the latch.

 

The radio features anti-theft circuitry. If the set is removed from the vehicle or if the battery power is disconnected, a special code must be entered to enable operation of the set.
