i need help all my dash lights faintly come on while the car is running, all winter long the car has run cold thought it was the thermostat, car warms up,turn the blower on car cools down dash lights, some times come on, rev the engine lights go out. thought it might be altenator,but also seams like there is a dead spot in the ignition some time doesn't start, let it sit then will start when the car runs it runs normal...except the warming up and cooling down rapidly.

yeah- the battery was checked,turns out i have multiple problems, the guy who looked at my car said it not just the altenator but the thermostat too.and while he was looking at the car the door latch broke, i bought this car(93 850glt205,000mi)and soon after i got it the fule relay swithch went, and beleive it or not i did't have the $to fix so the fule pump is hard wired to my head lights!! i love the car i own it and i 'd rather keep it going than have a payment and the problems too!! when it really becomes a problem it will be recycled!!

 

A FUEL PUMP IS HARD WIRED TO THE HEADLIGHT LIGHT!!!!!! I will never take kind of a risk. If there is any short in that circuit, it could cause a fire or expose... u may want to look in to that
