I can get my 2020 xc90 to recognize my Apple Watch with the correct confirmation numbers on both the watch and the car to confirm. But the connection always fails. I am told by the dealer that I must have my iPhone with me in the car to utilize my watch in the car. This is not the case in my wife’s Range Rover. The phone does not have to be with me in her car to utilize the cars speaker system when making and receiving calls. I am disappointed with Volvo if this is truly the case.
