hi, new to volvos and this forum, ive recently purchased a v70,t5 estate model, on a 2000, purchased with dead engine,although i did enjoy the 11 miles i drove it before it threw a rod, , my problem is ive fitted a used engine, which runs perfectly,
however i have no drive forward or reverse?, ive checked the fluid and thats fine, everything looks to be connected ok, im getting no fault codes, when i fitted the engine i put the engine straight in with its torque converter fitted to the replacement engine, does this make a difference from having the torque converter fitted to the box,then mating this to the engine?
also the replacement engine was from a t5 coupe, does this matter?, i have the old torque conver still, do they differ?
am i missing something?, do the boxes have a pump ? if this failed would it throw up a fault code?
any help and advice would greatly be apprechiated, im at my witts end!
