Anyone have any idea what would cause there to be a bad odour coming out of vents intermittently- it is the odour of musty or smelly hockey equipment- and no never any hockey equipment in car. Could this be from the AC or maybe a filter that needs to be changed?

 

Model and year of vehicle?

Most likely it is AC related but not all models had the cabin filter fitted.

 

2005 V50 T5 AWD

 

Sounds like mold/mildew. Try changing cabin air filter.

 

Does the A/C stop blowing cold when the smell comes out?
