Maybe taking the Volvo plunge...some advice needed....
Current ride is a 01 Santa Fe. No problems whatsoever. Time for a change.
Always been a fan of the older 940/960's Wagons. I'm 6'4" and they seem to have the room for a taller person. Plus I love the big rear cargo area and the big square tank-like look. We have two children and while there's room now for them in carseats in my car, I'd like something a little roomier in the backseat. And our two dogs would fit comfortably in the rear. Definitely not a fan of the 850's or the newer models. Seems to be a lot less room in them.
I've got my eye on a 92 940 Turbo wagon with 104 K. Only seen pics on the web, but it looks very sweet. Original owner with all service records. I emailed him today to ask if and when the timing belt and or turbo has been replaced.
It's got 2WD. I'm curious how they handle in the snow.
Any advice would be appreciated. If I'm looking at the wrong models, please let me know.

Well the 940's are rear wheel drive cars so the handling won't be as good as a FWD or an AWD car. 850's were the first FWD Volvo's. They are smaller than the 900 series but still pretty roomy. If you go with the 940 make sure you have a good set of winter tires.
