So im looking to buy a s or v70 but i have a cople questions. Ive heard 98 are good because of swappable ecu and fewer electrical problems than the 99-00. Is that true on the electrical problems? Is 98 more reliable than 99-00? Please help.

 

These are all older cars with - generally - a lot of miles. What was a small issue in 2005 or so isn't really that important now. The degree of reliability due to slightly differing components is overshadowed by the maintenance that an individual car has received. Buy the car that has been taken care of the best.
