i live in tijuana and i use a volvos from more than 20 years ago i have a 4 240's volvos; the last failure; no inyectors pulse; because i was have groud on some place; i inspect all, distribuitor, sensor hall, gas pumps & pressure, ecu. ignition module control, the cause; a bad gauge temperature sensor, was old and this happened when there old they grounded; only + cable on it was grounded (the cable was in good shape); i replace that and the car start allready; you dont need to drain the coolant to replace; the site are betwen the intake mannifold and the distribuitor are two; the lower one is the knock sensor; its the upper one; if you disconect or unplug the cable the car runs; if this are the cause, this was my problem and i solved .
