Always owned German cars and this is my first Volvo. I plan to keep this car until it is dead and am wondering if anyone recommends (or doesn't) that I buy the extended warranty on my brand new '08 X70? Dealer is quoting $1612 and I know this is negotiable but do I even need it at all? It'll carry to 72 mos or 100,000 miles (miles will come first I'm sure) w/ $100 deductible per use. I had one of these on my old BMW wagon and it MORE THAN paid for itself. Any recommendations based on your Volvo experiences? (And if you have any recommendations about negotiating price on this let me know!)
