Yesterday my 2003 volvo s60 started making a major squealing after it warmed up. I noticed the rpm needle jumping from 0 to 60 without accelerating, when I do accelerate the squeal stops. When I slow to stop the car dies, it will start back up and I noticed when this happens the power steering becomes very stiff. Please help me. I have owned 3 volvos the s40, s60 and s80. The sad thing is I just had the car in the shop in May for its 90,000 mile check up and you know how much that cost me.

 

No idea what the probem could be. Did you get a check engine light? If you are not mechanically inclined, you should find a shop to check it out for you. Maybe even have it towed. Your insurance company may pay for your towing if you have it on your policy.

 

I have just recently gotten a 2002 volvo s60 and I am wondering if I would be able to get performance parts, such as cold air intake, supercharger, nice exhaust, possibly body kit, just performance parts in general
