850 GLT Wagon
Hi all, just thought I'd say hi!
I picked up a '96 GLT Wagon with 147,000 a couple weeks ago. Haven't really gotten to enjoy it yet as it needs a timing belt change (just got the parts today). Will tackle that this weekend. It also needs a PCV cleaning, and front strut mounts... I get to do all the fun stuff right away!
Good news is it has been maintained by the dealer (owner sold it when they told him about the PCV and timing belt). That means new exhaust manifold and AC evaporator!
I just finished a tailgate shock replacement and panel reinforcement.
That's it for now!
Oh, yeah, my daily driver is an '86 e30. The Volvo is for my wife and weekend road trips. I have to admit though... it's definitely growing on me.

Hi Saeulf, welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you're a pro already. Take a tip from me, don't do the evaporator unless it's loosing more than 1 can of freon per 60 days. It's not worth it.
Have fun, they are great cars.

I meant that the dealer replaced the AC and exhaust manifold
If the car needed AC in addition to everything else... I probably would have moved on.
Thanks for the welcome!

Ok, I'll see about taking a couple shots later this afternoon.
I'm from Poulsbo. Looks like you're a Bremertonian...
By the way, rspi, it's not difficult to know what one is doing after reading all the good stuff on this forum (and over at Matthew's)
