Just joined up today. I don't own a Volvo, but my DIL does, and I get to work on it. ('96 850 Turbo)
It's got a few problems, some of which can be fixed by replacing vacuum hoses. But one, the cause of which eludes me. I plan to utilize the "search" feature prior to asking questions. But I may be asking questions anyway.
So Thanks in advance.
OBTW Name is Shorty, and I live in North GA. Been wrenching for about 25 years. And this is my first Volvo with driveability troubles.

I kind of blundered into one about 3 years ago, with no Volvo knowledge at all. In the end I found them pretty easy to work on. The first one I got had a hole in the rubber elbow that connects to the throttle body. They don't like that. Then I started buying more to get a parts car, but every one I bought would run, so I wound up buying too many.

welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of helpful contributors, particularly on the 850 board! The nice thing about the 850s is there seems to be a set of common problem areas that can be diagnosed by the board with a pretty high percentage so fire away!
