Gmanropley is back
Hi guys,
I'm sorry. I fell for the curves and grill of a Jag X-type estate and sold my 965 Estate 3.5 painful years ago. I know now and for some reason the evidence was not clear to me at the time, the Jag is a joke. Even my 1995 V6 Renault Laguna spent less time in the dealers than the X-Type.
So I'm thinking Volvo again...
Also my Sis has a 2002 XC-90, apparently Old Windsor is not yet paved and you need 4 wheel drive out there :-)
Previous love affairs:
1995 965 24v Auto estate. marvellous car, 4 years with the family, bit thirtsy but we all miss her loads. But one of the last true Swedes so not sure what the later cars are like...
1988 760 V5 estate. Nice build, shame about the Renault V6 engine and I should have known better from a bad experience with the Laguna (same engine) a few years before that. Our first ovloV
I'm good with electrics, got my first CAN bus reader now, worked in audio bus controls & do most of my own mechanoical work. I'm a bit of an inventor at heart (but not on the cars I hasten to add:-) Check out Team Newt at the Ropley Pram Race if you are bored.
Day job is in vehcile & asset tracking so I get to work on a nice range of vehicles as I'm called in to troubleshoot installations. if the Jag get's me there of course.
Anyway, enough about me. Hope I can contribute again to the forum and thanks for letting me come back :-)
