I lost one of my key fobs for our 2017 v60, besides paying a dealer $400. is there anther way of replacing one?

 

Not really - To make a new key work requires a software download using VIDA, Volvos software program. Anyone is the US can purchase a short term VIDA subscription, and with a DICE, or ethernet cable (depending on the year) to interface between the car and your cpu - can do a download to make the new key be recognized by your car. Large Volvo specialists have and use Vida subscriptions as needed (I did for years) - perhaps there is an independent Volvo garage in your area that might use VIDA.

 

Go to the repair shops and ask if there is a cheaper solution.
