Default new to forum

hello all

i'm new to forum and new to volvos. i've just acquired a new father in law who is a volvo lover. currently we're workin on valve timing of a b5254t engine. :-) can't seem to find the correct timming marks..:-(

Is it a 850 or S70 and which year?

Welcome to the forum, I hope you find it helpful & enjoyable.

As to the timing marks, in the case of 850, the cam pulleys have tiny marks that I usually enhance with a correction fluid. As for the crank pulley side, there is actually a large botch that no manual seems to point out. The botch is located closer to the crank pulley, as you view it from top.
