hello everyone, just to let you know, I own 2 volvos, 1990 740 turbo 225k mine, and 1999 s80 205k wife, love volvos and just like you members I have had my share of mechanical and electrical issues with the cars and they keep me busy on weekends, anyway I just wanted to say hello to you all.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum. Which car do you have the most issues with? I heard the '99 S80 is rough.

 

hi there. i just bought a 92 940gl.

 

you are right the s80 has giving me lots of headaches, however my wife works about 8 miles round trip, and some local shopping like super market, so we use the car for local stuff only, avery now and then it refuses to start, so what we do is after the first couple times, we let rest for about 10, 15 minutes then try again, and it gets going.

I have a power antenna that wont go up on my 92 940gl, any ideas on why?

 

If you hear the motor it's likely the antenna mast. They break a lot.
