New owner of 2007 V70
Recently bought a well maintained V70 with 57k miles on it, one owner. Mainly going to be used as a commuter car that can haul lumber from time to time along with the kiddos. I've joined other forums on cars I've owned and found them immensely helpful in diagnosing common issues and how to resolve them so excited to see Volvo has a strong following as well.
With all that said, out of curiosity, is there any components of a 2007 v70 that are known to fail prematurely or should be something I should at least keep an eye on. The only thing I've noticed that I didn't catch on my inspection was that the fan, when at full speed, makes a lot of noise so not sure if those are a common failure that most have to fix.
Anyway, excited to join and learn from folks on the forum.

I have always been concerned with low mileage older vehicles. I've had customers buy those from other sources only to find out that they haven't been serviced.
There are only a handful of issues so I'd first see if you can tell if the service work is current. If not, you're way overdue to have the timing belt and components changed for starters.
Which fan is noisy? Interior cabin or cooling fan?
