new owner of s80

Default new owner of s80

[:@]i jsut bought a 99 volvo s80. when ever i go over a bump it makes a sound like something is loose and its going to fall apart. husban though it was because it hasnt been driven for awile, butit still conttinues to make the sound. unlucky for us he decided not to get the warranty. can anyone tell me what is going on.

FYI I have the exact same car...same color and everything. Mine is the 2.9 N/A as well.

You're going to be in for the car experience of a LIFETIME. Don't get me wrong, when these cars are running properly they are the best car you'll ever own. But they're a nightmare to maintain, and they're almost always breaking down or need something repaired. I own mine with 134k miles and I've added on 18 inch wheels and whatnot....but it's been one problem after another. Don't give up on it, but you're in for a serious love/hate relationship like I am with mine. This is the kind fo car you love because of the looks and the luxury, but hate when it is acting up.

Hope we can help you. I'd need more info on what's going on however to get a better idea.

Either the upper spring seat is bad or the sway bar link.
