Default S80 trans affected by moisture?

I bought a 2007 S80 V8 AWD 2 1/2 years ago. The car had 116k miles on it and now has 146k and have noticed the car shifts differently when it's humid or after a heavy rain and last winter even when there was snow/ice on the roads. Last winter, on a couple of days it struggled to shift from 2nd to 3rd and then started acting up again after two and a half days of heavy to moderate rain. Now that the weather has dried up for three days the car is shifting better (although not great) I am certain the humidity/rain/snow/ice has affected my car's transmission somehow. I haven't gotten it checked out yet because up until a week ago it ran like a dream after this past winter when I was told the trans level was low and it was topped off. I pray it's a fluid level issue and if there is a leak, maybe water is seeping in(?) and messing things up. Has anyone at all had this happen? This is my first Volvo.
