having been a vag man for 13 years, ive now delved into the world of volvo and am genuinely impressed.

i picked up an immaculate 2 owner s80 d5 manual with 120k and stacks of history for £500.

it needed a wheel bearing two front springs and a droplink all easy cheap fixes.

ive noted the strut brace across the front turrets have lots of play and the dog bone engine mount is pretty much goosed. EK's sent the wrong dog bone mount so hoping for correct to arrive tomorrow, but they dont list the strut brace end bushes- is this vovo parts only?!

apprecaite any help advice!

 

Wow, what a cool car! In the USA we didn't get the D5, and we didn't get manuals. We just get nothing good. I don't know about the strut brace but I do see the bushings out there for sale. Maybe the diesel is different, but I don't know.
