So, why not think of an alternative? Convert your Volvo into a bio-fuel powered. Now, the procedure is toinstall a porta-potty right above the fuel tank, and then when you need to do your job, make sure the.......

5.85 GBP is currently 11.51 USDon the currency converter I use (www.xe.com/currency).


I(and most people here in the U.S.)pucker our tailends when discussinggas prices that currently hoveraround $3.60 and $3.70 per gallon of gas in the midwest states. Our diesel fuel is pushing $4.60 a gallon.


I cannot imagine $11.50 a gallon for either, though I'm sure the oil companies are planning their strategy to take us to that level heretoo. [:@]

Too true gents. our bloomin government just loves the extra tax over here.somthings got to be done, its frightenin now.and they have promised it will be 1 pound 50 a gallon by sept, if not before.greedy sods.

I found a station in Cumbria last week where diesel was £1.35 a litre = £6.12 a gallon = $12.13 a gallon. I did not buy any!!!

I think this thread will continue until nobody can afford to drive to the petrol station never mind go on a journey. This is happening when the oil companies are making record profits. How sad that I can't afford to buy shares as all my money goes in the tank.

On Tuesday I filled up for $3.38 a gallon, yesterday it was $3.89.A $.51 increase in one day. Who the hell is doing this to us?

 

I was watching CNN or something yesterday when they began talking about the soaring price of gas. (So-called) experts were predicting gas prices to peak in June at $3.73 as a national average. I don't know where they get their data, but they arebeyond optimistic. Driving home last night I stopped at a red light. I did a double-take because I could not believe the jump. It was also $3.89 a gallon. No advance warning or nothing.

I guess Pres. Bush doesn't understand that the economy RUNS on gasoline. It would be funny when members of Congress and the White House start missing work because they aren't able to afford gas. Yeah, like that will ever happen. All those in favor for another huge raise, say "I". All those opposed, "Nay".
