Default On the road, flat tire solution...

We're on the road and got a nail or something in my tire 600 miles from home. Tried to air it up at a gas station but the machine only took my money. So I used my little pump to air it up enough to get somewhere to get it fixed. Rather do that than install the spare. Decided to have it plugged, not do it myself (didnt get a plug kit from a parts store).

Went by firestone, they wanted more than $22 so I went about a mile away to Discount Tires. They told me that they plug tires for free. I never purchased tires from Discount before but I think I will next time.

I carry a little car lighter powered pump with me. I personally would have used the spare until I managed to get the hole plugged, but that is just me. Wouldn't want to do more damage to the original tyre.

Well, it was holding some air and the spare was barried in the back of the wagon with all of our vacation stuff so I tried the easy route first.

Rob you have to get this kit....
Amazon.com: Stop & Go International Tubeless Tire Plugger with CO2 1001: Automotive
The rivet plugs are awesome... seal so much better than the nylon plugs.

If you want one I can order it for cheaper than that with the shops account..
