Default 1982 240 alternator belt tension?

Hey all, I have an odd one here. A buddy of mine was converted to Volvoism by me, and he bought a very interesting 1982 245 that has had plenty of oddities. For starters, it is LH1 which has been an adventure, and also has some sort of IPD part that allows the bypass of the AC compressor.

Anyways, he is having a weird belt tension issue. When we did the ole "Lets walk over and look at my car" we noticed that my belts were nice and snug. I said "Lets crank on your belt tensioner and see where we go", only to find that his car has NO way to adjust the accessory belts. There is no "arm" that the long adjuster bolt goes through.

My question is: Did this car ever have any? It's odd that there isn't one on his alternator, Power steering, or now disconnected AC compressor. The last mechanic this car went to already did a lot of funky things we had to reverse so I'm not sure if this is something he did or if there's something else we're missing.

Yes it did have slotted bars with long 6mm bolts that pulled belts tight with a 8 mm bolt/nut that locked it into place. (just like ALL 240s)

So every picture tells a story - what does your picture tell?

Thanks! In that case they are confirmed missing...

My local junkyard dissapeared over a course of a week. I drove by and noticed them cleaning, then drove by a week later and almost every car was gone (so we don't have any parts cars lined up to pull these parts from). Regardless we might be able to find something with some local poking around. Just overall an odd situation.

Sorry I gave you bad info - A 82 b21f just has a slotted bar, you have to use a pry bar to tension the belts, then lock it down. The long 6mm tensioner bolts started about 1985
