Default 1985 245GL - Dash lights up when I accelerate?

I have a 1985 245GL with an odd issue...every once in a while, when I accelerate, all of the warning lights on the dash light up for a second, and then go back off. This happened once the first day we had it home, but disappeared after we replaced all of the fuses and a few bulbs to fix some other issues. It returned yesterday after I had the car down and Les Schwab getting the brakes and suspension checked out.

Has anybody experienced this before or have any ideas what I can do to figure this out? I'm thinking its some sort of ground somewhere, but with limited mechanical ability, I'm not sure where to start to correct it.

Thanks!
Karla

there's a main ground behind the dash, that would be the first place I'd look. typically has a whole bunch of brown wires connected to it, I'd take them all off, clean everything, then reinstall

That actually sounds like a cool problem to have...you know, "light speed to Endor!"

(ok so I'm a Star Wars geek leeme alone)

pierce is right though, be a great place to start. Clean contacts with an emery board, pencil eraser and rubbing alcohol on Q tips, or a combination of the above. Strange electrical bugs can usually be attributed to faulty grounds.
