I am restoring the air conditioning system on a 88 740 and need to know the original specs for the R-12 refrigerant charge and oil charge for the system.

I would think the sticker under the hood would say. The problem is, they used different compressors, which require differing amounts of oil.

the AC service document says there's 6.8 oz in the 'diesel-kiki' compressor, 4.5 in Sankyo, and is really vague on the York and Delcos.
