Hi all, first time on this board. I recently purchased a 1990 Volvo 240 DL Wagon for my daughter, and mechanically it is in a bit of rough shape, but that's ok with me because I knew I would have to do some work.
I took it to a Volvo mechanic as soon as I bought it, to have it looked over and they said the steering rack was worn out. I believe them because there is a ton of play in the steering. I have begun doing some research on replacing the steering rack and can not find a review or suggestion on a good aftermarket steering rack.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

 

Only rebuilts are available. Around $200. Check ebay, widely available . Volvo rebuilds are too much.

 

I would highly recommend Jorgen out of Michigan. They have great customer service and provide a lifetime warranty on their rebuilt racks
