My car has been stranded for a couple of days now and I still haven't figured out how to resolve this problem. There is one half of the key still in the ignition lock and even a call to a locksmith was going to take several days and run from $600 to $800, yikes! I have looked at universal ignition key replacements but none have had more than 4 terminals, and this 240 has 10 terminals. I am at a lost of what do do next, I haven't been able to find a replacement for just the lock assembly, not sure if auto recyclers would be the next place to look. Thanks for any info.

You might be able to use a broken key extractor to remove the broken key.
