can i fit a 92 940 turbo in an 86 240 gl?

 

Yes you can,very easy swap.I would try to get the complete car if possible,makes the swap a lot easier.If that's not possible you need, engine,trans,wiring harness,ecu,down pipe,intercooler,intercooler mounts,intercooler piping,I'm sure I forgot some things,maybe someone else will add to the list.

One possible difficulty may be fitting an engine with a rear of the block mounted distributor in the bay of a 240 ....

 

nice i gotta guy whos gonna go get it for me in about a week or so ill just tell him to grab the tranny while hes at it and a few other odds and ends
im thinkin that maybe i could get away with the turbo gages out of an 83 240?

 

He can knock the plug out for the front mount distributor,and change the intermediate shaft.Then install a cam plug where the rear distributor was.
