Where is the suction side port located for recharging the system? How much does the system hold (1988 240)

 

Both ports are on the compressor.

Has it been converted to 134A yet?

 

It has a leak and I am going to use that enviro 12a. The stuff that is more efficient than r12 safe for the environment and you do not have to change the oil or seals. I learned about it on a search on this forum. I have my yellow glasses and uv light so I can find the source of the leak.

Let us know how that stuff works. I have always wanted to get first hand knowledge of it. The suction port on my 740 is on the condensor on the firewall passenger side.

 

Since it wasn't converted already then they should be on the compressor on the back side of it.

 

Thanks! When the stuff arrives I will put a little in and see where it is leaking from and go from there.
