So I have a 1993 Volvo 240 and planning to do a m47 swap, I have all the parts needed other than the flywheel because the car I pulled all the other parts from is a 1988 and the flywheel is different. Figuring out which flywheel I need has been difficult but to my understanding I need one from a 1990-1993 240 because they have rectangular holes around the edge for the speed sensor as oppose to the 1988-1990 which have circular holes (I'll attach a picture of each kind below). Once I figured that out I went on the hunt for one and its proven quite difficult, I have struggled to find any of the ones with rectangular holes and have only been able to find a few with circular holes. I'm going to continue to search for the one with rectangular holes but I had an idea. I was wondering if I used the flywheel with round holes because the only difference is the holes and with that I used the speed sensor and ecu from a1988-1990 would it then read correctly and work. If there's any other ways to get around this or anyone knows of one that's available, I'm open to ideas. Thanks!
