Just happened recently on my '91 240 automatic. After the engine has been started, with the brake pedal depressed, the shiftstick can not be moved away from the "park" position. I have to press the "shiftstick release" to move the stick to "D". Any hint? Can it be done by do-it-yourself. Thanks.

 

Update: Took it to shop for periodic maintenance. They said a "blown fuze" caused this and got it fixed.
