I wouldn't install any fuel pump from the junkyard as there is no telling whether it is any better than the one you are removing. I am assuming that you are talking about the in-tank pump but I have never had a failed in-tank pump cause a no start condition.

When they fail, did you bench test them after pulling it out? Have you verified that the pump isn't running before you pull it out?

Apparently you are going to have to buy a new Volvo pump since the other methods haven't worked. It's about $130 retail from the Volvo dealer. You must specify that it is for a Regina system. Many "professionals" assume that all Volvos have a Bosch system and throw a wrong pump in there with less than optimal results.

a bosch booster pump without a main pump wouldn't even start once, nowhere near enough fuel pressure.

I hear you can use the single-bosch-pumps from a late 960 or 850 with good results on regina systems. 850's also run 44 PSI or so....

It's possible if you are having such bad luck with pumps... If you have ONE pump, you have a Regina system, (except in 1995 models).

a bosch lh system has a mass air flow sensor in the air path between the air filter box and the throttle body that says Bosch, while a regina system has a pressure sensor that doesn't look like much of anything.

bosch uses a conventional round ignition coil, while regina uses a square 'transformer' like pole with integrated power module.

it should.

According to VADIS (the older Volvo part catalog), a 1993 Regina uses fuel pump 3507736, or complete pump+sender assembly 6842607. a 1992 Regina uses the same pump, but has a different PN 3507595 for the combined tank unit complete (pump+sender+etc)
