Default 84 240 starts but stalls

Hey guys I have had a stalling issue only when cold. At first I could not get the thing to start all of the time. I found a bad coil and replaced that. It now starts but stalls until it warms up. If I give it gas it sounds like it is misfiring. Once it is at regular operating tempature the problem is gone and does not come back ever. It has what appears to be a good cap and rotor, good fuel pumps, new plugs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched the threads but have not found my unique (I think) problem.

Thanks again in advance.

Not sure about 1984, but my old 1982 had a cold start injector and thermal time switch, each of which could lead to your problem.

Is your car a turbo?
If it's non turbo check your coolant temp sensor, located under #3 intake runner.Check the wires to the sensor for fraying,84 models are known for having biodegradable wiring harnesses.

Ok I will check that sensor tomorrow, yes it is a non turbo, and the wiring harness looks a little worse for ware.
