Default '86 240 DL Wagon - Interior Panels for the Cargo Area

Hello! I'm new to the forum, so if i'm posting this in the incorrect place, please feel free to point me in the right direction.

I've finally been inducted into the Volvo family by purchasing an '86 240 DL Wagon (Golden Beige ext - Brown int). I'm smitten. Overall she's in pretty good shape (mechanically everything is more or less fine), but i'm trying to search for a few parts here and there for the interior. You guessed it, I'm not having much luck.

I can deal with the cracked seats & dash, the missing plastic trim pieces here and there, as well as the imperfect carpet. What I'm interested in replacing at some point are the side panels in the cargo area, as well as the carpeted panel on the wagon door. I don't know if i'm not using the correct words when I search online, but I can't seem to locate [I]anything[I].

Any advice out there? Are these parts that can be replicated or found occasionally on ebay? I'm in Kansas and no one within half a days drive has a 240 wagon around here. Am I SOL? It's a brown interior, but to be honest I don't really care which color the parts are I just want the back to be somewhat complete.

Thanks for your time!

Junkyards are your best bet but if there aren't any around, then... Of course it's all about money--if you wanted to pay for shipping etc, there are places I am sure would oblige...

Thanks for the reply, Lev! Junkyards are definitely an option. I had to call around the country when I was looking for an instrument cluster so I have a few places to call if I go that route. I was hoping there might be some sort of "insider advice" about a secret squirrel internet option so I can see what i'm buying before I buy it. *grin* I'll just keep my eyes peeled till I'm ready to purchase.

I'm thinking about making the back flat panel myself and covering it with an upholstery fabric, but I won't be able to do do that for the side panels.

Check out Craiglist postings in Portland, OR and Seattle. There are many more Volvos and people and businesses selling parts. I am sure some will be willing to ship to you. The parts you need are not rare and are widely available...

Good lookin' out, Lev! (I'm from Oly, WA so there's even a chance I could snag something up there when I visit.) I'll check out CL in those areas, they do love their Volvo's up there. Thanks for the suggestion! - M
