I bought a 240 a couple of months ago and recently the "brake failure" on the instrument panel came on. The car stops fine and is not spongy.

However, just before this happen the brake pedal did go on the way to the floor and I had to press the pedal all the way down to stop the car. It stop just fine its just the pedal went to the floor to get it to stop.

Now the pedal is "normal" and is not spongy. But I am concern.

Please help.

 

There is a valve under the car on the left side.It has the brake lines going to it and also a wire.That is most likely bad.
