Yes and 90% of cases you are right. That's called blow through it there is also draw through where the gas out of the carburetor goes into the turbo gets compressed and then goes into the intake. I'm just trying to find a way to be able to tune the car. Do you guys know of any standalones that are plug and Play I guess? I'm just trying to figure out a way to do it

sure, a complete 1990+ B230FT engine with its ICU and ECU and harness is the only thing thats going to be totally plug and play. best years are the 1994-1995 940 turbo, they added piston skirt oil squirters inside the block, or at least 1992+ that has a bigger radiator

@Stephenstaly - Can you tell if the 740 flywheel has the speed sensor cutouts?
So actually I don't know if you could possibly help me out with this I just got into the parts today and the flywheel off the 740 has four holes in the back of it it looks like there is a sensor on the side of the block of the red block would it still be possible to use this flywheel on my 240?

the lh 2.4 flywheels have holes all the way around them with one hole doubled up (or is it skipped?) as the TDC marker.

I *thought* there were some LH 2.4 turbos with M46 manuals, maybe just in RoW.

Example of LH2.4 Flywheel. Note the holes drilled evenly spaced around the outer edge of the flywheel. There is one spot that is not drilled (not shown in pic).

A machinist *could* drill a LH2.2 flywheel if they knew the number of holes around the circumference and to leave one out... it probably would have to be balanced after drilling, since the missing hole would throw it off some (see that divot at 7:30 oclock on the top face, and a smalle one at 9 oclock? those are from balancing). they probably could use the existing flexdisk as a reference for the positioning, diameter, and depth. looks like there's about 60-1 holes around the perimeter, but thats just guessing from counting the visible holes between two of the 6 threaded bolt holes

Yeah the one I have won't work. That's too bad I guess I could try to sell it and keep the search on and look for a m47. There was one at my local junkyard I went there to get the trans the clutch pedals and everything and they crushed it two days prior to me getting there so I've been a little butt hurt ever since and I found the 740 and I figured same motor right let's just **** away money in hopes to manual swap it and turbo swap it didn't realize it had a different operating system so now I can't find a computer for this car to be able to put the turbo on have no way to tune the stock computer and now I can't even use the manual trans so yeah I'm a little pissed off but I stepped out of my area of specialty and tried the Volvo thing and I guess I should have did more research first

Actually you know what crazy things happen out of the random sometimes I just had a guy contact me that has a ton of computers on the shelf. Would you happen to know what number I need for the LH 2.2 turbo model?

That's a great thought but I highly doubt the wiring harness will be the same.

Pretty sure that for LH 2.2, you'll need a different wiring harness and a different ignition computer, from a 740turbo up to 1989. I never had an LH 2.2 turbo, only a 2.2 240 normally aspirated, and a couple of 740, 940 turbos with LH 2.4

here's a list of all the ecu and icus. Oh, 2.2 used a different MAF too.
