'90 240 idle control motor question
Hello once again,
My '90 240, it had a non-stock hose running from the throttle body to the idle control motor. Someone then put a hose clamp on this hose; constricting the hose via the clamp achieves the right idle speed. If I put a stock hose on, it idles way too high. So, I'm assuming a problem in the idle control motor. Would ya'll agree?
The idle control motor has an aperture in it, which I assume varies the amount of air. Should I be able to move this by hand? Mine won't move at all by hand. Is this a serviceable item? My manual makes no reference to this.
Thanks,
monty
