Is there a special radio removal tool to take out the radio or can a simple small flat head screwdriver work?

 

I took a coat hanger and cut two sections, then I put 1/8" L bends in one end of each. You should be able to slid into slots with L facing down and "hook" the radio. Be sure to get your radio code you will need it when reinstalled.

That sounds good, almost like pullers that come with most new aftermarket stereos. Just be carefull with the plastic....one wrong move and CRACK. Good Luck!
