Does this transmission have a locking torque converter? I remember driving my 92 natural aspriated 940 and being able to tell when the converter locked up at around 43 mph ish but i cannot tell in my new turbo wagon if it is locking up

 

US model turbos did NOT get the locking transmission. they use a heavy duty AW71 whereas a NA used an AW70 (and the 16V uses a AW72). The torque converter lockup in these AW7x series just can't handle the amount of torque a turbo puts out at full boogie.
